Blog Writers Block

How would you define writer’s block? Describe the emotional and mental characteristics associated with it. Write about a time when you experienced it and talk about how you overcame it.

I would define writer’s block as when a writer is writing a story or a play and they don’t know what they are going to write about next. Writers have it all in their head but just cant put it on paper for an end result. Having writer’s block can be very upsetting to some and it may be an inspiration to others. Having writer’s block is very emotional and can affect you mentally as well. If you have a dead line that you have to make it can make you stress, confused about what you are writing, can make you think off topic, even though that may help some, and some people even break down to the point of tears. Having writer’s block I have learn is not fun when you have a dead line. There was one time I had writer’s block it was in 10th grade when I had to write an essay on a test. We only had twenty minutes to write this and I knew it would take me longer. But when I read the topic I couldn’t associate myself with it. I didn’t know what to write about. So I ended up writing something that I heard someone once say about the topic. It wasn’t in my own words so I didn’t pass that part. And now when writer’s block it is still hard for me to get myself out of it. So what I do is, I have people come visit and inspire me. I will have a friend or a partner talk to me or play music for me. Just so it gets my brain to start working again. Now they can talk or play anything that they want to play it doesn’t have to be about my story or play. Just anything. And if I don’t have anyone who can do this then I go to plan B, which is play, some music, or watch some movies. This trick of mine always seems to take me out of writer’s block and I have suggested it to others
