The End Blog

1. Write a paragraph on a film that you thought had the best, and/or, most memorable ending. Explain why this ending made a lasting impression on you.

I know this is going to sound clique but when I heard this topic about the most memorable ending in a film it has to be The Notebook. I am a big sap for sappy love stories; I am also the one who cries through the whole movie. In the movie there is a couple that is in love, but based on their place in society they can’t be together. They break the rules and have a romantic relationship. But then there parents get involved and make the girl move so the relationship ends it breaks the guys’ heart and hers as well. But the scene that I will never forget is when she decides to leave her wonderful fiancé to go and lived with her true love. Their hearts were so broken then just a simple decision mends their hearts and leads to a happy ending. If you have never seen the movie I suggest you go out and see it. It is a masterpiece.

2. Write a paragraph on the film, which you thought had the best opening.

By far the best films that had the biggest impact in their opening scenes had to be the Star Wars movies. In the beginning you just see the passage that most people know by heart now moving in an upward motion starting out small, then growing, then disappears. While this is going they have the infamous theme song playing extremely loud in the background. Whenever you watch this movie people tend to sing or hum this song. And this beginning scene just gets you pumped for the rest of the movie.
